Should You Wear Shoes on a Vibration Plate? Barefoot vs Shoes vs Grip Socks

It seems like a simple question — but the answer matters more than most people realise. Should you wear shoes on a vibration plate, or is barefoot better?
Barefoot (Best for: Lymphatic drainage, circulation, balance training)
Going barefoot on the UMAY VibeCore™ gives maximum vibration transmission, stronger proprioceptive nerve stimulation, better balance training, and more direct lymphatic stimulation through the feet.
Shoes (Best for: Active exercises, beginners, joint protection)
Supportive training shoes provide cushioning for higher intensity, ankle and arch support for squats and lunges, and better grip for resistance band work. Avoid thick-soled running shoes, high heels, flip flops, or boots.
Grip Socks — Best of Both Worlds
The ProGrip Anti-Slip Fitness Socks are ideal for vibration plate use: non-slip sole, thin enough to feel the vibration, hygienic, and perfect for Pilates and yoga too.
| Goal | Best Footwear |
|---|---|
| Lymphatic drainage | Barefoot or grip socks |
| Active exercises | Shoes or grip socks |
| Balance training | Barefoot — most effective |
| Beginners | Shoes or grip socks |
